my son had a cough I mean barking cough for one week he expirenced also high temperature for almost 39deg.celsius. we went to hospital and to have an X-ray. during an X-ray they found out (result) patchy densities both inner lung zone, heart is not enlarged, and diagphram and sinuses are intact. does this mean he has a bilateral pneumonia accrgd to the doctor? what should I do ? how can be treated?

Hi Maricel,

Pneumonia is just one thing that can cause the patchy densities, and is the most likely in a child.  Antibiotics are the standard treatment.
