My father is an 88 year old man with asthma, hypertension and a
host of other health related issues. A couple of years ago he was diagnosed
with stage four kidney failure due to long term use of high blood pressure
medication. This came to light due to difficulty in controlling spiking of his
blood pressure. His kidney functions were rated at 27% at that time, and
with monitoring diet and protein intake he was hoping to avoid dialysis.
He has recently been advised that due to excessive water retention
and blood pressure problems he is a candidate for dialysis. Needless to say,
he is emotionally crushed! Any suggestion to increase kidney activity so as
not to need dialysis?
Please advise..... Mitch Klein
I am inquiring for a 76 year old friend who is on kidney dialysis if the need for dialysis can be reversed.
