It is nice to know I'am not alone. I've been having salty taste off and on
over the last year. About 2 weeks ago it started happening 24 hours a
day. The saliva in my mouth as well as my tongue touching everywhere
in the mouth and on the lips. What a terrible taste. I do not salt my food and have stopped buying most packaged foods. I eat mostly organic foods. I did start eating 2 squares of Hershey's Cacao reserve chocolate
which has coffee bean bits in them a couple of weeks ago. I wonder if
this could be the culprit. I am drinking 60-80 ounces of water a day so
I don't think I am dehydrated. My mouth is not in the greatest shape
where as some fillings have fallen out leaving holes in my teeth over
the last 5 years. I do not have dental ins. I am a 63 year old female
retiree. Any help with this problem would be welcomed.
Thank you.

I am a member of this salty club also. I had surgery on my ear end ofAugust this year and it started. My eardrum was replaced with  a piece of bone from my ear. The taste is horrible and nothing helps. THe surgeon has sent me for MRI, put me on medications, two nasal sprays. No relieve and it is getting worse. Has anyone had the eardrum transplant and has suffered with  a salty mouth?
