Hello.
Experiencing sharp pain in the penis upon exposure to sunlight is quite unusual and not a common symptom associated with typical urological or dermatological conditions. However, here are a few possibilities to consider:
-
Photosensitivity Reaction: This is a heightened sensitivity to sunlight. While it more commonly affects the skin, causing rashes or burns, it's conceivable that if your genital area is particularly sensitive, it could react to sunlight exposure in some way. This is, however, quite rare.
-
Nerve Sensitivity or Neuropathy: Sometimes, certain nerve conditions can cause heightened sensitivity to external stimuli, like sunlight. This could be a form of referred pain, where the exposure to sunlight triggers a nerve reaction that manifests as pain in the penis.
-
Psychological Factors: Sometimes, physical sensations, especially unusual ones like pain in the penis upon sunlight exposure, can have a psychological component.
-
Other Underlying Medical Conditions: There might be an underlying condition that is not directly related to sunlight exposure but coincidentally manifests when you are in the sun.
It is important to note that without a physical examination and a detailed medical history, it is very difficult to accurately diagnose the cause of your symptoms.
Do you have any other health problems? When this first happened? Did you have any trauma to penis before?
