I was on Ocella, the generic form of yaz, for months. Started getting yeast infections right after I took the first pill of the pack each month and it would disappear on the sugar pills. I tried self treating for 3 months, where it would go away then eventually come back. I then went to my doctor, he confirmed it was yeast and gave me flucanazole for it which I took once and was done. It went away, came back, so I again tried self treating with natural things and making lifestyle changes for 2 more months. I was a week late starting my new pill pack so I didn't take it that month. Completely symptoms free until I started the next pack. I went back to the doctor and he said, based on more testing, I had yeast as well as bacterial vaginosis because of my pills. Have been switched to ortho tri cyclen lo and taking flucanazole for yeast and flagyl for bv. All symptoms are gone! Do not suffer for longer than you have to, go to a doctor and get checked out!
