Hi, i started having quite a bit of reflux last year and bad heartburn, tried a few different tablets along with Gaviscon, however i was more irritated by this pain in my right side of throat it felt away back, not like near the tonsil. The pain continued on and off for months and was getting me down every time i mentioned this to my GP, they kept telling me to loose a few pounds that this was all related to the reflux, eventually they sent me for a endoscopy last june, this came back all clear, but yet the pain continued so i was then sent for a nasal endoscopy, at this examination they spotted a small lump on the left hand side, the consultant stated that this was tiny and that we were lucky to spot it due to the size, he stated that my right side of throat was red looking and that this was likely down to the reflux, he advised to drink more water, he said they would get me in for a biopsy just to check, however i am still waiting to be seen, over the last week my pain in the right side appears to have increased, i have spoken to my GP, who is going to check with the hospital, i have had the odd day here and there where i have not had pain and days when pain comes and goes, although i bought some Co- Codamol 8MG over the counter, just to help when it gets full on. Apart from this pain i feel fine, i have no lumps in neck, changes in voice, i have gained weight which am working on loosing, i am a non smoker and have not had any alcohol for 8 months. Any feedback would be great. Thanks.

Since you've already consulted your GP and they are checking with the hospital regarding your situation, it's best to follow up with them for any updates or further investigations. They will have a better understanding of your medical history and can provide you with the most appropriate guidance.
In the meantime, it's important to continue managing your reflux symptoms by following your doctor's recommendations, such as dietary modifications, elevating the head of your bed, and avoiding trigger foods and drinks. You mentioned taking over-the-counter Co-Codamol for pain relief, but it's always advisable to consult your healthcare provider before taking any medication, especially on a regular basis.
Keep communicating your concerns with your healthcare team, and they will be able to provide you with the necessary medical advice and appropriate next steps based on your specific situation.
