The symptoms you're describing, such as frequent urination, discomfort, and pain in the vaginal area during your period, can have various causes. Some potential explanations could include:

  1. Increased blood flow: During menstruation, the increased blood flow to the pelvic area can cause pressure and sensitivity, leading to the sensation of needing to urinate more frequently.

  2. Uterine contractions: The uterus contracts during your period to shed its lining, and these contractions can sometimes put pressure on the bladder, resulting in the urge to urinate.

  3. Infection or inflammation: In some cases, urinary tract infections (UTIs) or vaginal infections can cause similar symptoms, including frequent urination and pain. If you suspect an infection, it's important to consult a healthcare professional for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment.

To address your concerns, it's advisable to reach out to a gynecologist or a primary care physician, who can evaluate your symptoms and provide personalized advice. They may ask you additional questions, perform a physical examination, or order tests if necessary to determine the underlying cause of your symptoms.

In the meantime, you may find some relief by practicing good hygiene, using over-the-counter pain relievers (if appropriate for your age and health condition), applying a warm compress to the pelvic area, and staying hydrated.
