I had an upper endoscopy done yesterday and still they did not see the cyst/ white abscess on the lower back side of my right tonsil. Before that I had an MRI. Showed nothing. Before that I had a cat scan. Showed nothing. I had a cyst removed off the back of my left tonsil 5 years ago. And for all the 5 Years that I have tried to get them to find it. They still can't!!! I can see it if I pull the tonsil forward with a stick. I recently used my own endoscopic camera. I was able to see it on the video it records. I showed my primary and she set up the upper endoscopy and the surgeon missed it as well. I don't know what else to do besides cut it open myself so at least my throat and ear will feel better or send the video to an out of state hospital. NYS medical care absolutely sucks here. I was upset when the surgeon came to tell me he didn't see anything! Are u kidding me?! Like what else can I really do hen our medical care is too controlled? How can they not see what I do and what my camera showed? I don't understand any of this. I've been to my ENT and they won't do anything more. I literally had to show my own video of it in order to even get my primary to set up the upper endoscopy for me! I don't think they even move the damn tonsil forward to check. I know it's there. My right side of my throat and right ear hurt together all the time. I have so much hoarseness as well as pus secreting out of the bottom holes of that tonsil that I'm swallowing. What more can I do here besides cut it open myself. I have to be my own dr now bc I'm done fighting about it. If I have the videos that clearly shows the cyst behind my right tonsil... what can I do with it? Who can finally open there eyes and be more through so they can see it and remove it!?

I'm sorry to hear about your frustrating experience and the difficulties you've faced in getting your condition properly diagnosed and treated.

In situations where you feel your concerns are not being adequately addressed by your current healthcare providers, it may be beneficial to seek a second opinion. Consulting with another ENT specialist or a medical professional at a different institution can provide fresh insights and perspectives on your condition.

When seeking a second opinion, it can be helpful to gather all relevant medical records, test results, and the videos you mentioned that clearly show the cyst behind your right tonsil. This documentation can support your case and provide the new healthcare professional with a comprehensive view of your situation.

If you feel that the medical care you have received thus far has been inadequate, you could consider filing a complaint with the appropriate medical board or regulatory authority in your area. They can investigate your case and provide guidance on how to proceed.

It's important to remember that self-diagnosis and self-treatment can be risky and potentially dangerous. Cutting open any part of your body without proper medical training and guidance is not advisable. It's best to rely on the expertise of trained medical professionals to address your health concerns.

I understand your frustration, and it's crucial to persist in seeking appropriate medical care. Advocate for yourself, gather necessary documentation, and consider exploring alternative healthcare providers to ensure you receive the attention and treatment you need.
