Hi I am day 6 pre op of having staple hemroidectomy. I was told I would get pain bleeding and urgency. But I never dreamed would be this had. I'm getting little sleep due to feeling like I need to open my bowels every half hour. Despite trying and having lactulose 3 times a day I only managed to feel tired faint. Today day 6 I finally had b.m which was agony. After still in discomfort despite taking pain killers. How long does it take to recover. I try to get up but have to rest as in so much discomfort. I can't sit in comfortable position and I'm fed up of this urgency. Is anyone else like this please
