stomach problems and swelling of the penis in young boys

Stomach problems occurred probably from some stomach food poisoning. These are usually trivial conditions but he should see his doctor anyway.
Many conditions can cause penis swelling and the most common is balanitis- inflammation of the skin covering the head of the penis. Balanitis most often occurs in young boys who have not been circumcised and who have poor hygiene.

I know what is wrong with your son, I'm 31 and this too has happened to me. In my case it has to do with Aleve. Every time I take Aleve I end up with the same symptoms your son has. I have tested that theory out because I only get the same results when I take Aleve (oval light blue pills). If you did not give your son aleve or such, then the only result would be that he is allergic to something that is causing those symptoms to appear. In my case I am allergic to something in Aleve. Allow me to include that the swelling of the penis ends up becoming a yeast infection in my case. The other symptoms gradually go away. However I would like to know if the swelling is accompanied by itching and burning? If so it is a yeast infection, caused by some allergic reaction. i know your message and query is quite old. I was googling for penis swelling and happened to see your query.my son has the same problem now....he had serious stomach pain and vomiting and diarrhea. and now after 4 days of that session his penis is swollen. he can hardly walk and it's so painful.can u please guide me as to what you did that time.were the symptoms related...? your guidance will be helpful. any body in the forum are familiar with this please guide me.....

Hi to whetstone from a fellow mom, I sure thought I would never mention or discuss my DS situation but your son may have the same problem as mine did. I thought he had the flu but afer an emergency exploratory sugery was started the dr told me something very awful. There was an infection in his penis and they would have to remove all the infected tissues. I asked if that meant a circumcision would be neccessary and they said Yes for sure. The infection was gangreneous and his life was in great danger if they didn't get all of the infection right away. Days later when I was being instructed about his bandage cleaning and changing I was first allowed to look at his penis. That was the worst day of my life.
I can't put in words how I felt! My son looked down to see himself first time after the sugery and let out horrible scream. I left him in the room as he cried histerically and collapsed to my nees in the hall! What he had left was his scrotum, "just" his lttle scrotum. I hope and pray that you haven't had the same outcome with your son.

As of now I googled the topic and this is what came up and because my son freaked me out when he said he has pain all over that area and when I checked I was devastated and freakishly scared. I don't know what to do! Its like he has a balloon down there...I think I'll take him to the er tomorrow if not tonight.
