I'm 4 weeks into my injury, and one doctor wants to do surgery, the other says that he wouldn't touch it.
One said that the bone is already almost healing and that it might not even move now. And that either way it would always give me troubles.
The other one wants to give me surgery, he wants to try the hardware first but if that doesn't work than do a fusion
but I don't want that many surgerys.
But if i don't do surgery, it's not like it's going to heal itself...so I dont know what to do!!
help!

"But if i don't do surgery, it's not like it's going to heal itself"
You'd be surprised at how well the body can heal itself...
It is possible that "either way it would always give you trouble"... If you don't want a whole bunch of surgery, how 'bout taking a bit of advise from both doctors... Leave it alone and see if it gets better. If it's still giving you more grief than you can deal with in 3 months, go straight to the fusion option. This gives the first doc's opinion a chance to work, and if it doesn't, the fusion is probably what you will eventually wind up with anyway.
I'd be surprised if a doc could properly plate a crushed bone that is 4 weeks healed already. Give nature a chance... If that doesn't work, go for the big fix... The fusion.

Maybe I missed something but what type of injury did you have? I would say since you have 2 conflicting opinions with your doctors to get a third opinion as a sort of "tie breaker". If it's your back, I would definitely hold off if you can as surgery doesn't always resolve the issues. Fusions can help, make things worse, or things might stay the same. What other treatments have they had you try first?
