Hi, i had my last shot in January and was due my next shot at the start of April but decided not to get it as me and my partner want a baby and i read it could take up to 18 months to get pregnant. Well, it's now been 6 weeks since i was due the injection and i have been getting awful symptoms, im crying all the time, craving food and drinks i never normally want, i have been waking up with a congested nose, i have pains in my stomach and legs, i am so moody with people, i had a bleed last week but it only lasted a few hours. i have taken 3 pregnancy tests and all negative. is it even possible to get pregnant this quick after the depo shot? has anyone had similar symptoms?

Hi, claireeeycxo.
After stopping the Depo-Provera shot, it can take some time for your fertility to return to normal. For most women, it takes an average of 10 months to conceive after their last shot, but it can vary. Some women may become pregnant sooner, while others may take longer.
The symptoms you're experiencing could be related to a variety of factors, including hormonal changes as your body adjusts after stopping the Depo shot. However, it's important to note that these symptoms alone are not conclusive evidence of pregnancy.
It's also worth noting that many factors can affect fertility, and it's not uncommon for couples to take several months or longer to conceive even without any previous contraceptive use.
Good luck!
