My father is a Vietnam vet suffering from agent orange poisoning.  I was diagnosed with MS 8 years ago.  There is no family history of MS anywhere so I am wondering if this could be agent orange related passed on from my father.  Is there anyone els out there like me?

Hello My father is a Veteran and was exposed to Agent Orange. I have 2 brother Diagnosed with MS 46 and 49 years old. Now I have had a MRI and they have found lesions on my Brain that they said maybe MS also. I am going for more testing now I am 45 years of age and female. We have no family History of anyone on My Fathers or Mothers side that have had MS. When my first brother was diagnosed at age 18 they told my parents that they thought it was the agent orange that may have caused it.

My father is a Vietnam War vet. He suffered multiple illnesses from agent orange exposure. I was diagnosed with MS in 2002. I believe my diagnosis is directly related to my father's exposure to agent orange. I have met at least three other people in the last several years who have family members who are Vietnam vets, were exposed to agent orange and have a descendant with an MS diagnosis. I frequently search for information connecting my MS diagnosis to my father's exposure to agent orange. Does anyone know if there are any developments on this connection?

I previously posted seeking information regarding Vietnam war veterans exposed to agent orange who have a descendant with multiple sclerosis.  The US government has yet to acknowledge or accept responsibility for those descendants diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.   In the last ten years,  I have met several individuals who either have a family member or know someone diagnosed with multiple sclerosis that is a descendant of a Vietnam war veteran who was exposed to agent orange during their service.   There appears to be a direct correlation to the Vietnam veteran's exposure to agent orange and their descendant's diagnosis with multiple sclerosis.  The Austrailian givernment, on the other hand,  conducted a study which confirmed Austrailian Vietnam and their children suffer higher rates of serious illness and than the rest of the population.  Muliple sclerosis is among the serious illinesses identified.  I am curious if anyone has additional information regarding this study and any acceptance of responsibility by the Austrailian government.

I have been searching for answers too. I also look from time too time to see if there is any one else like me. Here you are! I have the same story. I do believe our government did this to us. We are suppose to trust them! They allow the money to drive their decisions and then pretend they had no idea bad things will happen! The CDC is such a joke! Monsanto is in all their pockets! Maybe we should call Jeffery Feiger's of the world and at least get the attention we deserve and need!

I am the daughter of a Vietnam vet who was exposed to agent orange. My dad would tell the story of how the spray of the poison that killed all the vegetation would feel like a downpouring of rain. He also came home to spend a year in the hospital with a severe blood infection. Unfortunately, my dad passed away in 2011, before I was diagnosed with PPMS in 2017. A relative who retired from the service informed me that the Veterans have now acknowledged MS as a disability-related to Vietnam vets.

Well hi everyone in the comments. Here we are. The deceived. The ignored.

My dad was in the Korean DMZ at the end. Where we now know was terrible. Even the govt knew amd still.told.no one

My.dad.fought the VA for years. It ruined him. He's 72 now and the ITP and other stuff is slowly taking.him. still slaving away underpaid and underemployed. Well we just found out he was in a confirmed zone. No one told or.cared for him. In fact opposite, denied sufficient care and messed up paperwork. Denied disability.

And then there's me. After his health was ruined by agent orange, he lost his marriage and barely scraping by unable to provide. In and out of care. Absent much of my.childhood trying to survive, in the recession of the 80s. I got thru that, did all the things they say you are supposed to do to pull up the bootstraps. Got my.doctprate. pushed through undiagnosed health symptoms. Gaslit for decades bc I was.so "young and healthy" so I keep.working and.stop looking for diagnoses. Im.just "stressed out " ... etc etc etc

Guess who lost their university teaching appointment. Guess who had to take leave and lose private consulting caseload. Guess who was denied disability. Guess who was finally diagnosed MS.

What fraudsters the government are. They squeezed everything from my.family. hard working honest people and called us malingerers. My.doctorate in special education goes to waste as I waste away. Oh but guess who still owes $130,000 for that doctorate?

Yeah im.angry. no wonder its so hard to organize with others. That is not a coincidence.
