I'm trying to get pregnant and I'm worried that I cant. My appendix burst about 12 yrs ago and I think that might be why. Is it possible to still get pregnant?

Hi J,

It should definitely be possible.

How long have you been trying?  We don't consider it to be a fertility issue until a year has passed without success.

If it has been a year, you BOTH need to see a fertility specialist.  You can expect a complete physical and internal exam.  Your partner can also expect a sperm count.  40% of problems are related to the male.

Good luck and don't get frustrated.  Lots of couples find that once they stop trying so hard they become pregnant.
