Hi. Im a 24 year old female. Lately in the last week, ive been getting an unexpected surprise at night, just a few hours after i go to sleep. Its starting to scare me as the symptoms are getting worse. Ive been waking up between 2-3am in the morning. My life style has not changed, my eating habbits have not changed. Im curious why this is happening to me!
If i lay on my sides at night, after about 10 minutes, i start to feel really nauseas. I try to readjust myself to get it to go away. Sometimes i can and sometimes i can't. Last night was the worst. I started dry heaving, so i got up to go to the bathroom.. I never threw up, but then the hot and cold flashes came on very fast.. One minute i thought i jumped naked into a snowbank and the next into a sauna. The nausea continued, hot/cold flashes continued the the dizzyness came on.. I tried to walk through the house but had to hold onto everything in my reach so i did not fall down. My mother in-law says when you feel sick to your stomach, she eats or sucks on mints and it makes her feel better.. So that is what i did. I went back to bed, and fell fast asleep..
Ive been pregnant before and have never experienced this, im curious if pregnancy is a possibility.. I can't remember the last time i had my period, so that doesn't help me.. Ive taken 2 tests but both have came out negative.. Could there be another underlying problem? Could I be pregnant and its just too early still? I miscarried twins 8 months ago, and im pretty scared, should i see if the symptoms subside first or get right into the doc? Please Help!! ? ?

Low level of estrogen can cause hot and cold flashes in a young woman. If you have not had your period for a long time and if you are not pregnant, it is likely that your pituitary gland may not be secreting enough gonadotropins to stimulate your ovaries to produce more estrogen. See your doctor now. A simple blood test may be all it takes to resolve your problem.
Aside from mints, hot ginger tea may also be helpful for your condition.
