Unusual long period and associated problems

Hi all

I have been having on my periods since last 25days. This never happened to me. I used to be irregular with my periods but this is the 1st time I ever had a long period. Initially it started as very light and it had been like that for a week then it gradually got better. 2nd week I fell ill with flu symptoms had severe cold and cough so I took Ibuprofen for 3 days. Light periods turned out heavy for another week. Now it got slightly better like 3pads/day but I have got some vaginal sores. They are not painful but they are very disturbing. Apart from this I have been affected with pimples and acne on face since last 45 days. I never had these kind of troubles before. My diet hasnt changed since a while. The reasons I could figure out are lack of exercise as I was staying home for past 5 months. I did yoga for couple of months and then got lazy. Please help suggesting a solution. I am planning to schedule an appointment with GP next week. I am very depressed with these problems. Thanks - Saja
