So my girlfriend and I had unprotected sex (id**t, I know). I realized that what we were doing was unsafe so I stopped it after about a min. I wasn't anywhere close to ejaculating. But I do know of the risk of precum and pregnancy. So I encouraged her to take the Plan B pill. She took it the day after, about 16 hours after intercourse.

After about 6 days, she had her period (at least I think it is). It was heavy and lasted for about 5 days.

A couple of questions. Does the period mean we are in the clear? She has been feeling nauseous of late, since about a week after she took the pill. Are these side effects of the pill? From what I read on the box, side effects should disappear after about 2 days. So I'm concerned.

Is it possible that she is pregnant? and why is she nauseous?

Hi and welcome to the forum.
Well it seems to me that you can be pretty safe. You haven't been near ejaculating, and she took a day after pill. Usually side affects from the pill stay for a few day, so in her case it can still be from the pill. If the pill is taken day before the ovulation, it can delay ovulation for 3-4 day, and also can delay menstruation for few days.
But to be sore she can take a pregnancy test, just to check her self out.
It's a good thing that you are not just worried that she is pregnant, but you are also concerned about her health. I wish you all the best. And keep us informed about situation.

Thanks for the reply. Its been about 12 days since she took the pill so I'm a bit concerned that the symptoms have lasted that long. She says she would feel nauseous for a little bit and then it would subside. Perhaps this is morning sickness?
