Hello,
So, I went to see my nurse practitioner gynecologist today because I have had constant vaginal discharge for about the past 6-8 months. It is usually clear or sometimes milky and occurs several times per day. There is no odor but it makes me self-conscious and it is highly annoying. No itching, no burning when I urinate, no redness or any of that. Also, when I get my period, there is an additional bright green coloring on the tampom. My period is now lasting between 2 and 1/2 to 3 weeks at a time and I am still getting it monthy--I will get maybe a week or two off. However, I only get one week symptom free of this nagging bloating and uncomfortable cramps. They are not strong cramps like I use to get when I first got my period about 2 decades ago, but like "echoes" of them, and my lower abdomen is sensitive all the time to any touch or pressure. I also feel nauseaus quite often. I have always had an irregular period, in fact, I did not get my period for three years before. But never anything as strange or annoying like this. I also have incredible pain upon inserting and wearing tampons now, and sex is also extremely uncomfortalbe.
I doubt it's an STD, I have been with the same partner now for 9 years--committed relationship. I believe we were both tested for STDs a long time ago, but we are completely faithful, no worries there. All past PAPs have been normal. My nurse practioner today (I love them) said it was not an infection, she checked the cultures. I am also not pregnant--they take a urine sample. I have also been on antibiotics twice since this began for other reasons, and this has still persisted so an infection is highly unlikely--but my gyno actually tested that today for sure. Any ideas?
My partner would like to not feel like he is hurting me anymore during sex, and I would like these symptoms to go away. Medical history includes arthritis--probaly rheumatoid, don't know if that might have any obscure connection?

I have had the same partner for 4 years now and we too had been tested before any sexual activity between us and also completely faithful! I've never had regular periods from day one, doctors have tried me on different pills and they never seem to work... Rather than having 3 weeks off the period and a week on, it was happening the other way around! So, I have the implant now for just over 2 years and seem to spend my life on a period. It doesn't hurt when I have sex although I've found every time we do have sex I'll come on my period the next day.
I am getting the same awful cramps too, again, exactly how you describe.
I'm going to get myself booked into see the doctor again, although they all seem to fob me off with the fact that I'm on the implant now. It doesn't feel 'right' and both me and my partner are getting a little worried about it. Did you find out what it all was?
