Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me. I was on the implant/implanon for around 6 years and recently had it removed because the doctors seem to believe that it was effecting my moods (depression, anxiety etc). I wasn't completely happy with their decision as myself and my partner do not want to fall pregnant, we are both 23 and are getting married next year so children are off the cards! When I got my implant removed which was at the beginning of May 2017 I had been on my period for around 4 days at it was heavier than what I was used to whilst being on the implant, the doctor that I saw said that as it was heavy and near my due date to get the implant removed she would take it out and replace it with a new one, but as I've said above she didn't go through with this as she felt that when going through my medical she felt that the implant may be the cause of the various mood swings and outbursts. She also said that my fertility would go straight back to normal. Since having it removed I have had no further periods and have done two pregnancy tests, which have both been negative, it has now almost been two months since having it removed and nothing! Can anyone help or explain?!
