Vaginal discharge that stain my panties Black??

I to am experiencing this !!!! I am 48 and post menapausal.....i agree it seems very odd...been going on a couple of months now...but now i am also finding it on the sides of my underware where it rubs my thighs...very disturbing.

I am 35 years old, post hysterectomy and I also have the same black stain on my pantyliner. I think its urine, because when I wipe, I have absolutely no discharge. I also have rheumatoid and have had multiple kidney stones and bladder infections. I'm embarrassed to go to the Dr.

hi

same thing occur with my best freind, but this type of spot occured after taking any type of medicine like any painkiller.

when she not take any med then no spot form.

so plz suggst wt she do .

I am 46 yes old and have the same issue!! I had a COMPLETE hysterectomy about 21 years ago. I notices that I seen the stain after washing my panties not before and they are all cotton crotch. I last seen my GYN about 3 weeks ago and he said everything looked good and received a postcard stating that the pathology from pap smear was also good... I hate this stain cause to mey panties are ruined and I have to buy more.. But it happens in ALL pairs

Hi Masha,

I am having the same issue and after reading the posts, I believe it has to do with taking pain medicine like Tylenol or Advil. I am currently in a clinical trial for anti-depressant medication and the doctor told me when reviewing my blood screens that she would make a note that I was taking a lot of Tylenol because the liver breaks it down differently causing a read out in the blood test that would make it look abnormal. I don't believe it is vaginal but urine related. Even the mom that posted about her little girl could have possibly been giving her children's Tylenol at the time. This would explain why some of us have this issue, then it goes away and returns at different times. I suggest that everyone look at what medicines they are taking when this comes up and panty liners are a must! I would still like a doctor to post their thoughts on my theory, but for myself, I don't think there is anything to worry about other than an embarrassing inconvenience.

My guess that you use deodorant/antiperspirant in the area because your hot flashes make you sweat, and the deodorant/antiperspirant mixes with urine leaks and causes the black staining.

Ive had these problems a while. Im 37....still having periods and i have both the black staining in panties and the bleach like staining in black panties. Ive had all kinds of tests..pap smears...blood and urine even stds even though im happily married. I just had to find out sonething bc this is weird.

Thank you ! I was so worried that i have once black stains in my underwear last time..now i know because i had fever that time and i take paracetamol every 4 hours. I am happy to hear this!!

After doing a lot of research I found out it is from Tylenol PM, I saw others who discovered it, so I stopped taking it and never had it happen again.

I have Porphyria, the intermitent acute type. The stains are coming from your urine which comes out normal color, but after it hits uv light for a period of time it will turn red brown or charcole black i. Had this problem for years, because it was intermitent, it would only happen when something triggered a flare, so it went undiagnosed for decades. Next time you notice it go to emergency room with underwere, tell them to test immediatly for porphyria.
