Hi OP,
I'm so sorry!!! It really sucks to not be able to go to the doctor when you're really worried about something. :(
Black or really dark brown vaginal discharge right after your period is usually just blood left over around your cervix. At other times of the cycle, it can also come due to trauma (like you injured yourself down there) or because of an STD.
When you say it is getting progressively heavier, that makes me think of something else though. It could have something to do with being on the pill, it could be a miscarriage, it could be some kind of cervical infection?
Do you have a free sexual health clinic near you? If you do, please consider going.

i'm not pregnant because iv had all my periods and have also been to the doctors and none of them have said anything to do with that..
plus technically it would have been born by now!
Doctors have no idea what it is, nor do they seem to care that much..they said it was hormones and changed my pill, which didnt work, and then i pestered them for ages until they looked at me, i finally got refered to the hospital where i had a colposcopy, smear and biopsy. Then i got told i had abnormal cells which they would check again in 6months, the next time i went i had tests again and they said i was back to normal now and to have another appointment in 6 months which i'm yet to have...But the bleeding is still happening constantly and im still no nearer to knowing the cause, i dont know what to do!

I was experiencing all of this. I was on the pill for over 6 months and hadn't missed a day. My fiance and I have only been with each other and have been tested for STD's anyway (negative). I had extreme abdominal pain, crippling depression to the point I COULD NOT get out of bed, extreme fatigue, poop-like brown stringy discharge, multiple ER visits, pelvic exams, CT scans, ultrasounds, pregnancy tests. FINALLY, an ER doctor did a pelvic and told me that he though it might be Endometriosis and referred me to his "favorite GYNO." There's no way to tell 100% that it's endometriosis without laparoscopic surgery. I'm a junior in college and I had not been able to attend class due to crippling pain so I decided that it was worth it to see. So, I decided to get the surgery. While I was under the knife he discovered one of the worst cases of endometriosis he's ever seen, but was able to remove most of the tissue. That was in October. This is January and since the surgery I hadn't had any pain until the last couple of weeks. Because Endometriosis is a life-time, un-curable problem, it could come back. But in minor cases, as most are, it takes years if it comes back at all. Usually the level of pain has nothing to do with the severity of the disorder, the cells might have attached to a nerve or something in your reproductive organs and the pressure is what could be causing the discomfort. If it returns a short time after surgery, your doctor might result to putting you in temporary menopause which means that you would not create any endometrial lining and therefore not have to worry about it not shedding properly.
I'm not a doctor, I just think that a lot of you seem to have the same mysteriously frustrating symptoms I had. No matter what, if the pain is so bad that it interferes with your daily life, you should probably see a doctor. I hope this helps! If you have any questions about endometriosis, email me and I'll try to direct you to the information as best I can!
Thanks!
