Hey, im 16 years old and im sexually active.
I recently found a smallish lump on my left outer lip - its a bit sore to touch and im really worried that its something serious. I think it might just be a ball of tissue and it will go away soon ( hopefully ) but it feels a bit hard, so im not sure if it could be something worse. i also dont think i could face goin to my GP or anything like that incase it somehow got back to my parents that i was sexually active.
does anyone have any idea what could have caused this?
Or when it will go away (: please?

I'm pretty sure you have an STD called genital warts!!! You need to have those looked at sweetheart! STD's and "old school STD's" such as ghonoreha, syphillus (sp). You need to be treated, AND this is EXTREMELY CONTAGIOUS!!! The person or persons you were in contact with are either the carriers or now have it. If people aren't informed then this will continue to be spread. More and more teenagers are having unprotected sex, thus the rise in STD's. It doesn't matter if your boyfriend or partner doesn't like them. TOUGH! This is YOUR body, your decision to have sex or not. And these should be YOUR RULES! Please go to a clinic and get checked out. You also need to determine if there isn't anything else going on. GOOD LUCK! Stay healthy and informed!
