very irregular period after stopping birth control

EXACTLY what I am experiencing. I decided against using nuvaring because of some side effects. I had my normal period, it ended and I inserted my new ring. I then took it out the fallowing day I put it in. Then immedietely the next day i got my period again. Flow is heavy but not any more extreme than it ever was before nuvaring. I'm wondering if this is normal or not? I was only on the ring for three months!?

I decided too to stop using nuvaring due to the symptoms of having a UTI or yeast infection. I haven't gotten in to see my doc yet, but the day after I took my ring out I got my period again. Its way heavier than it was at any point while on BC, but not any heavier than it was normaly before BC. I was only on it for three months, but am concerned that my periods will be totally irregular now...

I was on Ortho-low for about 6 years and before then, My periods were perfectly normal and regular. I started taking birth control because I was young and didn't want to be a young mother. I'm not 19 years old and I stopped taking my birth control and it's been 6 months since I've had a period, but I get horrible cramps and headaches and so much more as if I was going to get a period, but nothing ever shows. I went to several dr.'s to see what could be done (Second opinion type thing) and there's nothing. So in my opinion, Birth control ruined everything for me! My dr told me that I would have to have sex every day to try to get pregnant and I would have to buy a ovulation kit. I don't mind having sex, but I don't want to go through the hassle buying a ovulation kit every single week or month.

I'm so glad that I found this site. I was worried that something was wrong with me. I stopped taking the pill about seven months ago. At first I was fine but then I had two cycles in October and I haven't seen another yet. This is really stressing me out :(

Hi I have a question, I've been off birth control for about a year and 2 months my periods are very irregular I'm pretty must always on my period i only get off for a couple days then I'm back on it. It's really frustrating so I was wondering what can I do to try to make them regular and try to conceive? :-(

I stopped my birth control back in 2007ish and once in awhile I'd get my cycle on track and then sometimes I'd miss one, I got my period on oct 13th ovulated on the 27th so it seems and now I'm waiting for this period. Should I even be worried?

yes I've been off nuvaring for a year now and getting periods every 2 weeks. approx. It first started out normal for about 3 months .. then jumped to bleeding every 2 weeks .. then I went 3 months without a period and now I'm back to bleeding every 2 weeks.. After this experience I'm never using hormonal BC ever again .

I am having the same issue :( .. I've been off of the nuvaring for a year .. I started out having normal periods after stopping nuvaring then I started bleeding 2x a month and then I went 3monthes without a period and now I'm back to bleeding 2x a month .. I was always regular before starting nuvaring.. Although I've had a similar experience with the pill it just didn't last as long as the nuvaring problems ..

Hi. I am having the same issue. Not so much the bleeding after intercourse but the irregular periods then slight bleeding for maybe a day. But the cramping and,bloating last longer! But I haven't had a period in months! Not just weeks and days but months! I'm getting pretty concerned because we want to conceive soon but afraid it might not happen. Anyone have a success story!?

Same here! I was currently on the naval ring up until 6 months. I started having problems , so i quit it. My little girl is currently 14 months and I am still having irregular cycles. One month it will start at the end of the month, the next would be in the middle.. This month I am two weeks late. It sucks. I really hope I can get this back on track again!

I too am having this issue after stopping nuvaring first I had horrible breast pain every day for months now my periods are never the same this one was 5 days late and I have been off it for 4 months

Hello! I stopped the bill when I was in my sugar pill cycle. So I finished the 28days. I have been off it since late November. After that cycle, 2 weeks later I was on again. And now 2 weeks after that I have it again. Can anyone tell me if it's a problem and need to see see doctor or if this it's normal
