Cervical spine fusion C2-C7 in 2008.  Was on everything imaginable.  Was able to get off everything including fentanyl patch 100mcg, oxycontins, etc.  Now I am taking Methadone 5 mg twice daily and Klonipin 2mg at night.  I have been on both of these for almost a year now.  I am ending this and am doing it without Suboxone.  I dont have insurance but if I need clonidine or something simple, Im sure I could get an RX for it.  I went to my sisters in november and was able to make it 9 days with neither drug but couldn't continue. I literally thought I was going to die.  My sister wasn't strong enough and by day 9 she was crying and spoke with a police officer who came to the house and stated, "either give her at least some of the methadone and clonipin or call 911.  So I caved.

I just need advice. I have to be able to work while doing this so keeping this in mind would be great.  One think I found out is when I stopped the klonpin, all that happened was I got the worst headache with sharp pains in my head. No nausea, diarrhea.  I was irritable but not crazy.  I couldn't sleep but I expected that.

The withdrawal from methadone cessation cold turkey-Okay for 3 days, then hell arrived at my door.  No sleep, unable to be still, literally rolling from side to side, unable to go bathroom by myself, crying a lot, quiet, incredible body aches.

Please, I have to get off this stuff.  I dont care about the year it takes to get your brain right again.  I just want to be drug free.

Ive heard one should be on clonidine during withdrawal but i have no idea why.  What other stuff should I be doing or taking that does not consist of something else I will have to withdrawal from?
