I have been having gastrointestinal problems on and off for the last year and a half. It starts out with belching that smells like rotten eggs. After this, I get the urgency to have a bowel movement which turns out to be diahreea. Then, I get sick to my stomach and vomit. This has only happened once in a while, and the whole ordeal wipes me out physically. I have recently experienced bloating which gets worse in the evening. I am also experiencing intestinal rumblings and lower back pain that is sometimes better than other times. About a year ago, I was diagnosed with gastritus and a Hiatial Hernia. A few years ago, I had an MRI and was found to have lower back bone spurrs and osteoarthritis. I am 49 years old and had a Hysterectomy in 2003 for fibroids. I also had a camera put into my stomach, but the hernia and gastritis was all they found. When I get blood tests, they come out negative. I have also in the past been on anti-depressants for PTSD from when I was working at a bank and we were robbed. I am a female and since I don't have periods because of the hysterectomy (I still have my ovaries), I am concerned that something serious may be going on. I have stopped the antidepressants at least a year ago (I was taking Cymbalta) which I'm sure contributed to my stomach issues. Is there any advice out there concerning my delima? Also, I am a size 6, 5'0 inches tall, but I have seemed to pick up an extra 10lbs somewhere. I am concerned about my condition. P.S. I have found that I feel somewhat better since I came off of the medications and eat organic foods and take vitamins and supplements. Thanks. :-(
