Thank you for the comments. I was actually worried about the yellow discharge and it gave me some relief knowing that it's normal for those who had hemorrhoidectomy. I'm now at 2 weeks and 5 days post op. Pain has gone down to perhaps 90%. Only pain I'm experiencing is when I'm taking a dump. I can still feel the pain -- not as much as it was when the hemorrhoids were still there. One thing that helped me, weirdly, was that it is easier for me to take a dump standing that it is sitting. I know, it's freaking weird but, hey, all for the comfort, right!
I have downloaded an app to remind me to drink water especially at work. That's the time where I completely lose track of time and my drinking/eating habits. I also read high fiber diet helps, even if my doctor didn't give me any restrictions at all. But deep inside you know you will do anything for this experience not to happen again! Doctor told me that I'll be fine after a day. Didn't know all of that was just a bull c**p.

Dear Charlie or others who can help.
I am 4 weeks post op and have the exact same problem as you. Can you please advise if the drainage of the light yellowish thin liquid eventually stopped. How did you get on?
Thanks for any help. Peter

Leakage after hemorrhoidectomy. I am 4 weeks post op and am still getting leakage of a light yellow liquid. I am not sure what this liquid is. Could it be from the internal wounds or could it be incontinence? It has now been 4 weeks and it does not seem to be getting any better.
Any advice or help from anyone would be appreciated.

Same with me. My surgeon also misguided me in a similar way. I was expecting to return to office next day but had to take two weeks leave
