Hi, my kid is in elementary school and I must admit that I am proud of his grades and behavior. Still, they do some test from time to time that are not school related and the last one is some readiness test. Why my child has to do that test and what is it about?

I think that you should relax a bit. Those tests are used for measuring the child’s different abilities and their ultimate goal is improving of the school’s teaching system. In other words, testing is the only way to determine if the system really functions and the capabilities of your child too. As for the readiness test, it is one of those tests that might be given to school kids, but is more used for determining the abilities of kids that are supposed to enter the school.
