Hi, I have a bit of the problem, although I don’t think it is such a big deal. What do you do when your kid is asking for something and do not say please? And I am not sure if he does that on purpose or simply because he still does not comprehend the meaning of the word please? And I have been teaching him that for the past couple of months.

Perhaps he still did not accept the mentioned word or maybe he still does not connect it with the situation when the word please is needed. Or perhaps he is simply having some fun, knowing that he is not doing something as it should bee done. I guess you should arm yourself with a lot of patience because you will need it, no matter what is the cause of your kid’s issue.

How old is the child? They comprehend for sure as my children were saying please at the age of 1. It wasn't exactly P L E A S E, but it came out as P E E S. He gets it, he just doesn't want to use it right now. Practice, practice, practice and one day he will say it for you. It just takes some kids longer that's all.
My grandson is just 11 months old and he says the word "more" in freakin sign language!!! He takes his fingers and pats his mouth. Kids are a lot smarter than we give them credit for, sort of like "dumb like a fox"
