Hi. The first thing you should know is that you are not the only person experiencing these problems, or similar. If it helps at all, you should know that the way that your body is behaving is completely normal - not in any way abnormal. Your description of your experiences has many similarities to my experiences, and to others I have spoken to. You have done absolutely the right thing to talk about it, in order to put your mind at rest.
I used to masturbate excessively, and started when I was a child. This also lead to urinary-related problems, and I went to the doctor many times describing my simptoms. I was diagnosed with cystitis and took medication, but the symptoms would return. Often I would have repeats of cystitis-like-problems for many weeks in a row, which was very uncomfortable and distressing. I just described the physical symptoms, because I was too embarrassed to admit that I had been masturbating so much and thought I had hurt myself.
Now OF COURSE there is nothing wrong with masterbation - it is a really great thing to be in touch with one's body enough to be able to have an orgasm that way. So when I talk about 'excessive' masturbation, I mean repeatedly - sometimes 20 or 30 times a day, for many days in a row. At this rate it can be possible to hurt yourself, in the shorter term. This short term can sometimes feel like long term, because it can last what seems like ages. But it does get better with time.
I experienced these problems for a very long time, because I found it very hard not to masturbate, and once I had done it once in one day, I found it very hard not to continue. Even after I had visited the doctor because it was causing urinary problems, I still continued to masturbate excessively becuase the urge was so great. Sometimes I would have a break for some months, but often I would return to excessive masterbation and eventually, the urinary problems would return. I would also have some difficulty to orgasm during sex, and my orgasms during masturbation would reduce in strength too. This IS NOT permanent. I also experienced other problems such as pain in my stomach muscles where I had been tensing the muscles. This is not permanent either.
Masterbation does NOT cause these problems, and I would not advise anyone to completely stop masturbating in order to reduce these symptoms. But I have found that my 'excessive' masturbation did cause these problems, and the cure was to learn to controll it a bit. For me, the urge to masturbate is strong and so I still do, but it is good to give that part of the body a good rest sometimes. I make sure it is not repeated - only once each time. Because my problem was so great, and went on for some years, I needed to have a rest for some months. This may be different for different people.
Try not to worry about your ability to get pregnant. I also had these fears, so don't worry having these fears either, but you will be fine. You could even go to see a gyneacologist if you would feel comfortable, just to put your mind at rest. It can be a good idea to see a gynaecologist anyway, not for any serious problems but to feel 'on top of' your health. That can be the right time to talk about these experiences, because (most) gaenacologists will be used to talking about things that many women are embarrassed about. I have seen one for a general check-up and everything was fine. The body is able to do incredible things, such as getting pregnant after surgery like a cesarian! So even excessive masturbation wont change the ability to get pregnant!
I hope that is a help. Your experiences may vary and be very different from mine, so of course only do what you are comfortable with.
