So about two weeks ago I had unprotected sex and I've been freaking about it since. Please no judgements, we all make mistakes. Well a few days after I found two cuts on my inner labia that were right next to each other and I was experiencing minor itching. It was itching but not so bad so I could resist from scratching it with my hands. These cuts went away in a day which I thought was really weird but I just let it go. Well about two days later I found another cut with the same mild itching so I immediately went to see a doctor who told me that I most likely had an outer yeast infection which was causing the cuts. She prescribed me fluconazole so I immediately took it. This was monday the first. The next day, Tuesday, I woke up with the same itching and two more cuts. The cuts went away by Wednesday morning and I had no more itching as well. I read that fluconazole should work immediately but my symptoms stayed the same the next day.

To add to my story the same weekend when I had unprotected sex I had been in my wet swimsuit the entire sunday and we had been drinking all weekend and getting four hours of sleep a night. In addition, I had just gotten back home that weekend from a 12 hour flight. The doctor believes it is an outer yeast infection because of all the stress from traveling, drinking, lack of sleep, and the swimsuit. I'm just worried because today there is still what seems to be yeast around my clitoris but there is no itching. I'm freaking out because she took a swab of my cut and I'm waiting for results. Any input or similar experiences down there?
