Hello. About a month ago I had tonsillitis and was on antibiotics. When I finished my antibiotics, I had a little redness around my vagina so I went to my gyno. She prescribed me a cortisone cream that helped. Today is Saturday (a few weeks after tonsillitis), on Sunday I started noticing itching,redness and discharge. I disregarded it thinking it was just irritation from working out or a spike in sugar levels because the night before (a week ago from today) I had way too much cotton candy. Now it is monday, and there are a few bumps around my vagina and what looks like a piece of raw skin on one side of my clitoris. They burned when coming in contact with anything. I had to go to work so couldn't go to doctor. Next day (Tuesday) I worked 9-4 and went to doctor right after work as working had irritated it a lot. The doctor looked and diagnosed me with a severe yeast infection that could have been hanging around for a month after my tonsillitis antibiotics and when it finally came out, it came out full blown. She prescribed me fluconazole and a vaginal suppository. I was to take one fluconazole that Tuesday and one again yesterday (Friday). And the suppository every night before bed for 7 days. As Wednesday and Thursday come, yeast infection symptoms are better but now sores are flat, yellow and raw and they are all over, plus I got my period. Now it is Friday (yesterday) and I take my 2nd fluconazole and go to work. I start feeling so sick to the point where I had to go to hospital. Plus, I was in so much pain. Walking, sitting, standing, peeing, everything is painful. So I went to hospital and the gyno there looked and said possible herpes. I have talked to my boyfriend and he was tested a year ago, and has not been with anyone after being tested except me. Plus, my normal doctor said severe yeast infections rarely produce blisters, but its possible. So he took culture swabs and blood work and results will not be in until Tuesday. He prescribed me lidocaine which is amazing and makes me able to function because it numbs my vagina, but it wears off fast. My whole point is has anyone experienced this? I am praying it is not herpes. Everything just does not add up to herpes. I did not have flu like symptoms except the day I was in so much pain it was making me sick.
