I am so glad to find these posts. I am a 53 year old woman who loves to drive drag cars. What's this got to do with withdrawals---it seems to affect the very thing you love the most. I have been on Zoloft for 2 years at 200mg per day. It literally saved my life. But the withdrawals have been the worst. My Dr. decided I was ready to go off it at 50mg increments every two weeks. Most of the time, I was dizzy and lightheaded, moody and I couldn't seem to focus-so naturally I couldn't drive my race car :-( Well, last week I took my last pill and I thought I was home free-WRONG. I am extremely dizzy, lightheaded, irritable, agitated, short-tempered. My muscles ache so bad and my joints hurt so much. I feel like I have the flu. My chest hurts, I don't sleep well. I am tired all the time. Does any of this ring a bell? My Dr. did tell me to be careful in the sun, especially over 90 degrees. He said I couldn't stay out in the heat more than 30 minutes at a time, then take a 30 minute break. Also, I suffer from anxiety from the withdrawals and he said Lorazapam was good to help get me through the worst. I have hot flashes and night sweats, too. This is only my first week totally off the drug. I have read it could take up to eight weeks to be completely free. I refuse to go back on the drug but it is hell getting clean. I hope this help someone out there. You are not alone. That's what keeps me going---I know there are alot of us out there going through the same thing. We can beat it.

Congratulation to you!
I think that my 18-years-old niece takes Zoloft because I saw her pills on her desk at my sister's house a few years ago. I am afraid to ask her if she takes that medicine. I heard that she stopped taking it last year, but I don't know if that is true. I am horrify to hear about Zoloft stories on the news in the past. I can't imagine how brave that you stopped taking it.
Off record, my opinion is that a footbath (Q-2) and QXCI treatments would help you as a natural way instead of pills. I really can't say more about it because I am not a doctor, but my sister has an QXCI machine at her house. I can't use these treatments anymore because I have a pacemaker. Bummer! I believe that the footbath treatment comes first, and then second later on QXCI treatment. I don't know if this make sense - In short, I have a water filter system, from APEC Company, to keep the water clean all the times to avoid any old pills that were dumped at a sewer company from a toilet. i.e.
I hope that you have a happy future in your life. Nothing is perfect out there, but a least that we can enjoy ourselves anything we want. :)
