Ultram withdrawal

I have a friend that has been on Ultram for about 10 years, taking anywhere from 20 to 30 50 mg. pills a day for her fibromyalgia pain. Recently she ran out twice for about 1 week with out any ultram. Since then she now gets swollen legs. tops of the feet, ankles, and abdomen. She has been off the ultram for about 3 months, so the doctor almost tripled her oxy. Her doctor has kept her off the ultram because she had a seizure that lasted for about 2 minutes. Please advise; do you think the swollen extremeties are from ultram withdrawal of liver disease.
