Hi,
I quit smoking in 2014 because i started getting panic attacks. So i decided to quit smoking, i also used to feel my chest was really heavy when i lay down back then.
After say a week of feeling brilliant suddenly started shivering like i had a cold but normally a cold would take a few days to surface, but this happened within a few hours. I felt very cold and my head felt like everything was spinning and almost as if i was looking at everything through a glass.
After the days and weeks went on the shivering went away but the glass effect in my head had then turned into what i think was d- personalization/de-realisation where everything didnt feel real.
During all this i felt very scared, very panicky, palpitations and found that things would scare me easily, i also felt like i was breathing from the top of my chest, like my lungs were full of air and had what felt very bad bloating even tho my belly was the same size (i think).
As the weeks went on slowly all this disappeared, i now don't feel scared as much, chest feels ok BUT my heart beats much faster even doing small things like going up the stairs. I have eye floaters that sometimes start stinging my eyes, my back, shoulders and sternum area hurts as if a bone is very sore but when i push into it, it doesn't hurt.
The palpitations, constipation/diarrhea, and feeling bloated have been there since day 1.
the only 1 things that somehow eases all this is when i start to forcefully blow out air as hard as i can outwards, then slowly inhale in, when i forcefully blow air out i hear all sorts of crackling noises which also disspear after the breathe training. By repeating these steps for a few hours heart beats slower, head stops hurting, floaters start fading and the bloat feeling has gone.
This is all good until a few days of being myself then slowly it all starts up again and will only get worse and worse. One day i didn't do anything and thought leave it how it is. Then on i started waking up with a very high pulse, arms tire out quickly and started to do the breathing techniques which slowly slowed it down, but its getting harder for the training to work.
If i see anything exciting or anything that gives an adrenaline rush everything starts going haywire
ive been to the docs so many times and they did all sorts of tests, ecg, ekg, x ray, stool test, lung function test, blood tests, holter monitors, eye test but nothin that they seemed bothered about
im at a point where i need help because all this stops me from doing everything. The docs wont help, iv spoke to people who say they understand but i assume not as much and dont know what to do.
im assuming i need breathe retraining but that raises soo many questions which id be happy to tell should anyone be kind enough to listen to me and my problems.
Apologies for the long post.
Many thanks.
