MPN Advocacy and Education International is searching for Vietnam Veterans who were exposed to Agent Orange and now have a diagnosis of Myelofibrosis, Polycythemia Vera, or Essential Thrombocythemia (Myeloproliferative Neoplasms-MPNs).

This information will be collected in an attempt to add myeloproliferative neoplasms to the US Department of Veterans Affairs 'presumptive' list of conditions resulting from exposure to Agent Orange/dioxin during the Vietnam War and could create a resource for assistance with treatments and compensation.

I believe we have communicated previously ... your history sounds like mine...VN, diagnosed with ET, prescribed Hydroxyurea, switched to Anagrelide-but that seems to have a sporadic manufactures support -not available all the time, so switched back to Hydrea, going through the VA claims right now-have you head anything from the MPN group about the status of ET and the VA? thanks - hope all is well with you, Gerald

V.N. Viet (69-70). Fixed army radios. Traveled all over Viet Nam. Now have Polycythemia Vera since 2012. Exposure to Agent Orange & Benzene. VA is still telling us not related to Benzene or Agent Orange exposure. They were both used as a cleaning agent. Why do Viet.Nam Vets have to try so hard to get the benefits they deserve. Only can get 50% for PTSD.

HI Wayne, I too was in VN ('69-'70) and was diagnosed as having ET two weeks ago. I would like to learn more and join you in your efforts to connect AO to ET.

Hi my name's Christopher Russell Hodge, and I also my father that fought in Vietnam around the exact same time!!! He's passed away in 2006. But my dad had the effects of the agent orange and also gave him hep c, pct,a lot symptoms you described he also had been diagnosed with polycythemia! I am his son I also have liver cancer,p.t.s.d.,also diagnosed bipolar? I'm sorry for the symptoms you described about your wife, but I have also recently for the last five years! Have symptoms my doctors can't figure out? Like dizziness, nauseous, and I'll be riding to the hospital, grocery store in a car and I'll have the worst car sickness and up until? 5 years ago no alarming symptoms? But I have been consistent with the symptoms of all the diseases, such as the symptoms I've mention earlier. I am deeply sorry for your loss with the pregnancy! I can't even get a doctor to investigate my symptoms any further yet? Because the situation with the symptoms, effects of agent Orange? Haven't been taken seriously by our government. I buried my dad, and he was my best friend, my hero and he suffered from his illness!!! and had a lot of times he couldn't get out of bed? I really wasn't ready when he died December 22,2006. Dad said to me,when my agent Orange claim goes through! We'll be able get us some money!!! So we waited for the compensation all of my life, and I hate the government because they killed my father and make as well.Because feeling like this isn't living,it's hell.....
