I was recently told that I have a histamine rash all over my hands my elbows my legs and I was told to use the gold Bond , medicatete , no Steriods , well they changed the formula and my rash just got worse and worse and worse and I was in Guatemala and I went to a pharmacy and they told me that I’m allergic to the gold Bond and gave me a German cream Called Kamillosan
Within two days the bloody crusty rash was healing so I went on the Internet and I found it and I ordered it and I am so happy it’s saved my life .

After using Gold Bond Ultimate Strength & Resilience Lotion ( lot #17D115), I woke up this morning with itchy hands and by the evening my entire face was Rashed, swollen and red, itchy and burning! this is my 6th experience of this in the last 7 weeks (each time getting progressively worse) as i have been slowly eliminating and trying to things to figure out the cause to this mysterious rash I have been getting. My Dr. put me on Prednisone for two weeks last time and BOOM the next day after my last dose, it was back. It was mystery till now, because I have not been using it regularly, just randomly over the past few weeks, not thinking it could be the culprit as I have used it before this time, with no noticeable reaction. At this point, just plain ol' Vaseline is the only thing that makes it feel better, while I wait to see if I need to go through another dosing of Prednisone.

Yep, me too. Last night I tried a bit of GB Anti-Itch lotion on an area of one arm. The reaction was dramatic and immediate -- severe itching and small welts. Yikes. It subsided after 30-45 minutes. Curious, I decided to give it another try this evening on a very small area on the top of my right foot, just beside the ankle. Wow! Again the reaction was immediate severe itching and many small welts. When I sat with my (bare) feet crossed, the left foot showed the same reaction where it touched the right foot! GB Anti-Itch has two active ingredients, menthol and pramoxine HCl. Maybe I'm allergic to pramoxine? In any case, I'm ditching this stuff.

I am so glad I googled this! I have had such a reaction to any product before. Wow-I was miserable! Plus, took me forever to figure out what was causing this insane itching. After reading all these posts, I am going contact customer service. This can’t be “normal” and I want to know just what the heck they put in their formula to cause such a reaction!

I have also been getting an angry red rash after applying Gold Bond Ultimate. So useful to see these comments so I can try to identify the cause instead of rushing off to another dermatologist.

I had a horrific reaction to the diabetic lotion! I used it on my face and around my eyes, but not near the eyes! After about a week my eyes started feeling "sandy" and eye drops didn't help! Very soon all around my eyes became red and itchy with blisters on my lids! Went to the doctor, he said I was allergic to something! Got prescription eye drops as well as antihistamine eye drops! After a week or so, it started to clear up, but was very dry. I again used the diabetic lotion not knowing that was the problem! This time it only took one day to cause the same problem! Back to square one with the same treatment! Now it is getting better (one week,so far). I am at the skin peeling off stage and using massive amounts of baby oil to try to keep the skin from cracking! Not sure if I want to use the lotion anywhere else in my body!

Same here, Gold Bond Ultimate Healing w/ Aloe bought a small travel size at Target. Rubbed some on my neck before bed and woke up scratching non-stop. Washed it off took a Claritin, it’s slowly going away.

Same product and same result. Tried again as a test when the rash and itching was gone and it came back within hours. I would really like to know what ingredient is causing the reaction

Me too! Developed what looked I like a classic case of eczema in my elbow creases even though I am over 50and never had it before. Took a long time to heal. Recently used the Strength and Resilience again and stayed away from the creases. It worked it’s way in, though, and rash was back by the end of the day. Washed it thoroughly and now it’s healing. I have a birch allergy and avoid apples, carrots, etc. I see this has apple extract, so..... who knows?

Thank God I've found this. I rarely to never have allergic reactions to lotions but the GB strength and resilience has had me wake up in the morning (used at night) with my arms and neck (and my legs the first day) red and itching so bad that even scratching it wouldn't stop. I had to use cortisone cream all over. Couldn't use benedryl or I would fall asleep at work. Threw bottle out and will never use GB again.

I too took several uses before I realized it was the GB that was causing my skin to be “burned”. My eyes swelled shut and I developed blisters on my face. I quit using it a year ago, but the “exema” effects are still there ( even tho I’ve never had exema in my life) and the blisters still return on occasion if I don’t follow a strict regime of cleansers and moisturizers.

Same thing is happening to me with the Gold Bond Ultimate Healing Hand cream. It worked at first and suddenly I've been developing little red itching bumps on my hands and wrists. I thought I had some form of eczema, but this was less like dry patches of skin and more like little red itchy bumps. I'm pretty sure it's the Gold Bond that's causing it, because I did not have this issue prior to using.

I applied Gold Bond Ultimate Overnight deep moisturizing to my face at 11:30 am and at 3:00 am the next day I awoke with a burning sensation on my face. I checked the mirror and wherever I applied the Gold Bond, my forehead, cheeks, nose and chin were bright red and burning. I did email the company with this complaint. This product is dangerous

Happened to my son too - he had crazy hives all over his body, wish I knew what the ingredient was that caused this but it showed up within 30 minutes and was everywhere and was pretty severe. Luckily we washed him down and have him a benadryl and it subsided.
