This lotion seemed to work very well for me; my skin looked and felt great initially. But in about 24 hours I broke out in a rash and hives all over my neck and chest. It took me a while to realize it was the lotion- horrible itching, blisters, and raised red skin. Nothing seems to help and I finally had to get a prescription for steroid medication. I will not buy Gold Bond again! I wish I knew what ingredient caused this reaction so I could avoid it in the future.

June 2022,
I purchased two different types of GB lotion. (Crepe corrector and diabetic lotion). Instead of softening my skin I ended up with burning rash after a few days of use. This is so weird because I've used Vaseline intensive care for years and
never had a problem.

I thought I was going through change of life or something. I keep getting this terrible rash after I use Gold Bond Age Renewal Lotion for body mainly on my chest and the inner arm where you bend. I keep having to put calamine lotion on to get rid of it. I just noticed it only happens when I use this lotion. If I use oil of olay or even a bath and body product no problems. It’s like the stuff doesn’t let your pores breathe or something. I hate this. I liked the results when it wasn’t trying to kill me.

I have used body lotion my whole life. I tried GB diabetic, even though I am not diabetic. The reviews were really good. I put it on my body yesterday and I can not stop the itch. I showered and it is still driving me crazy. I do not know what I would be allergic to.

The same thing happened to me! Couldn't figure it out at first, but I am so happy to hear I am not the only one this happened to. I have never had a reaction to any topical product. Does anyone know which ingredient causes this? I am using a prescription steroid cream to treat it.

I am so happy I found this!!! I was using the gold bond diabetic cream my mom had. She said it didn't agree with her but she has incredibly sensitive skin so I didn't think much of it & that was a while ago. So I decided to use it for my dry skin. Seemed to be a life saver. I even put some on my face. Because I noticed that got a lil dry. BIG MISTAKE. Well I didn't realize gold bond was doing me dirty. So I bought gold bond sensitive body & face. Kept slathering it on. I thought I was dying. I have never been so itchy, burrny, red, just uncomfortable. I was covered in hives & almost like acne looking bumps. This all happened just within a few days. Had to get a steroid cream. Started clearing it up immediately. So now I'm literally just using a sensitive dove bar of soap to clean my face & the steroid cream until my skin is normal. What a disaster. If anyone knows what in the world is causing this reaction please post it because I never wanna experience this again lol! But word to the wise don't use gold bond lotion!!!

I had the same thing happen to me after using the Crepe Corrector. I had uncontrollable itching on my leg and lower arms where I applied the product. Thought it could never be the gold bond so I did 4 experiments on my skin and it definitely is the gold bond.
