I have been to the doctor yesterday. I have been taking Ansaid for a month now. My arthritis is responding very well to it. It doesnt hurt so much any more. But yesterday when I was talking to the doctor I have mentioned that I am a smoker. He told me that I should told him that earlier and that he must make some dosage adjustment. Why is that?

It is because of possibility that some serious problems may occur if you have some risk factors like smoking. Also if you have history of heart attacks, strokes, blood clots, liver or kidney disease, high blood pressure, asthma, polyps in the nose, congestive heart failure etc. It is normal procedure, nothing to worry about.
