Well, how soon after your missed period did you take the tests?
And do keep in mind that for some women urine tests don't
actually work for them, they'll have to take a blood test. Best of luck.

All right, if you have no doubt in your mind that you are prego, then go to the clinic and ask for a blood test.
Another possibility is that you are experiancing phantom pregnancy. Meaning your body thinks you are pregnant,
therefore taking action over your body as if you actually were. So, just go the clinic and check it out, Goodluck :]

Hello, I'm new here! :-) . My cycle is short - usually around 23-25 days. My last period was on the 6th of October and my boyfriend and I had sex on the 14th and 15th. According to some charts I would have ovulated around the 16th. My next period is due on the 31st October but on Tuesday (27th), I had a bright show of pink-ish blood when I went to the toilet. It wasn't just a couple of dots so I thought my period had come on very early although this would have been very odd and made my cycle 21 days! However, since then...nothing! I feel sick, have 'sensations' in my abdomen but not exactly cramps and am very tired. It feels like my period is coming on and as it's still due on 31st it could be this...but I'm confused about that blood! I'd done nothing to scratch myself internally. As this blood showed 11 days after my predicted ovulation, could I be pregnant? I feel really nauseaus in the mornings and late evenings but think it's waaaaay too soon to be feeling that if I am pregnant, from what I've read! Usually I get 'spotting' the night before I come on...but this was more than spotting, 2 days ago and still no period! Breasts a bit sore but only in a pre-period way. Should I be looking out for anything else? Would be so grateful for advice from anyone who's already 'been there'! Many thanks in advance. xx

Hi honey! I'm up in the air about this actually! It SOUNDS like you could be pregnant, but that pink spotting IF that is implantation spotting it would be brown - as this is old blood, and pink is fresh! You could try and take a test right now, just to see. But if it shows negative, the only way is to wait a few more days and see if your period does come on! Actually some women start "feeling" pregnant almost right away! Also know this, when you read about certain symptoms you WILL feel them, it's really weird how that works actually! So try and relax and wait a couple more days and take a test! Please let me know how you make out OK? Good luck and health!

Hello and thankyou for your reply! I'm confused about all these goings-on! On other forums I've read that implantation bleeding is indeed meant to be brown or pink-ish discharge...but then on some forums, women who are pregnant have said it was like the first day of their period and then that was it. The blood was pinker than my usual menstruation - it was more than spotting and there was a reasonable amount of it when I went to the loo - but it was only there once - the day after I had a slightly brown discharge (apologies if this is too much information! :$ ) and since then, nothing at all. Not even any CM and I usually have that in abundance. I don't understand where it's all gone! I'm due to start my period tomorrow or maybe sunday but all I know is that this doesn't usually happen and I don't usually feel this crappy beforehand!! I feel sick on an off in the morning and evening without warning, am very tired and have a constant dull ache in my lower back. It's only been 3 days since that bleed so I don't think I should be showing symptoms at this stage? But things are definitely different and I wish I knew what is going on. I also got the WORST gas last night! It was embarrassing! My boyfriend was laughing at my total mortification but I just couldn't control it! Never felt so bloated so quickly. Again, that's something I hardly ever suffer from - it just seems that all these unusual symptoms are springing up from nowhere. My 'gut feeling' is that I'm not pregnant; but I can't explain that bleed nor the nausea/backache as I never feel sick with periods unless the pain's REALLY bad. Ah well - I'll wait to see what happens over the weekend! If I'm not pregnant, I'm getting myself to a doctor next week to see what's causing all this...especially the bleeding so early and then nothing because that's worrying. Anyway I'm off to go and drive myself mad trying to work all this out! :-D Thankyou for your kind words and I'll let you know! xx

Update; I think AF is coming! Pink discharge with flecks of blood in it...but still not the usual way I start my cycle! Usually it's BAM and full on. Never mind. Emotional rollercoaster, isn't it? 8-|

heres my deal...my bf came home on leave from Iraq for a couple weeks, earlier this month....i had gotten my period the 17th through the 22nd...during that time we had unprotected sex the first day and a couple days after and he came inside of me each time...now it was my understanding that you couldnt get pregnant if you have sex on your pd, at least I never had of all the times iv done it...but shortly after the 22nd when i took him to the airport to go back to Iraq, i started getting migraines, nausea, loss of appetite and energy, fatigue and am finding myself tired and sleeping more often....i think it might be stress, seeing as I think it is too soon to tell if I am pregnant because i just had my period, i took a pt which i thought was silly but did n e ways and it of course came back negative...the reason i question this is because iv never reacted to stress before like this, and iv been under a LOT of stress in the past...and the nausea is familiar to when i was pregnant and had the morning sickness with my son 4 yrs ago...regardless i would just like to hear n e ones ideas or opinions as to what they think it might be....i plan to just wait a couple more weeks til my nxt "expected" period, and see if my symptoms persist from here on out...if so i will test again and/or see a dr....any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks :-)

Hi Krystn! You can get pregnant at ANYTIME through your cycle - including your period! Granted you have to be ovulating and the chances are of course better then, but taking into consideration that women can ovulate at different times each month, and it can take 3 days for the egg to travel down the tube, and the sperm can live 3 more days in the uterine cavity, there is a LOT of give and take with the time period of when a woman can conceive!
Even though many women experience pregnancy symptoms before they are told that they are indeed pregnant, I think what you are experiencing sounds a lot more like stress - especially seeing your boyfriend off again!
This isn't to say that it is NOT symptoms - but I think it's highly unlikely that quickly! You are right, even if you conceived on those dates, it would be FAR too soon to tell via a test. So unfortunately you are going to have to wait till around the 17th - depending of course what your cycle is like! This is another factor too - the average cycle is 25 - 28 days, so if you are on the short end of that average, this creates a shorter time frame for the ovulataion - which will take it's own course! So IF that is the case with yourself, it would make getting pregnant while on your period more likely!
No one can tell you if you are pregnant or not, only time will tell! So I will hope for whatever you are hoping for! And please let me know how you make out OK? Good luck to yourself and here's to your boyfriend keeping safe!!!

Hi Gely! So since you had your last period on September 28, is your cycle usually 31 days? Is it usually regular or irregular? If it is late, and you are usually regular, I would say with almost 100% certainty that you are pregnant!! The only way of finding out is for you to take a pregnancy test! I also take it that you didn't use any protection, is that correct? Just let me know some more information such as 1. Are you regular cycle 2. When did you have unprotected sex 3. When is your next cycle due? 4. Have either of you been tested for a Sexually Transmitted Illness?

Hi honey! I thought you were pregnant! What are you guys deciding on doing? Due to the fact that you already live with your boyfriend, your mom will have that this could be a possibility - in the back of her mind! Depending on your relationship with her, just take it easy and tell her face to face! Be expecting dissapointment - it's not usually every parents dream for their child to become a parent early in their lives - but that said, IF this didn't happen I think that half the world wouldn't be here! ;-) So both you and your boyfriend have to have a good heart to heart about what you are going to do, and then inform your mom! If you show a united front and have a plan, that will put your moms mind at ease considerably! Good luck honey and health, and if you need anymore help just ask OK?

I would love to be pregnant. I would love to add a chid to the family. I've been married a few months now and my husband is on the road. It is hard to plan it, when he comes home every 3 1/2 weeks. I am cramping now and I am wondering what is going on with my body. Last month I had the symptoms and was told it was false. I also got my period two weeks late. I keep on getting information telling me I can be pregnant and still have my period. Has anyone have that happen to them too?

Hi Sjulia: A Pregnancy period CAN happen, but it is rare! What i think is happening with you is that due to your yearning for a baby, you can actually have symptoms of pregnancy! It is called "Hysterical Pregnancy" it can happen when you REALLY want a baby or are totally paranoid about being pregnant! Depending on your cycle, the cramping can be from a couple of things. 1. You are ovulating 2. pre-menstrual cramping 3. Ovarian Cysts/Swelling of the Fallopian Tube
The greatest chance of you becoming pregnant is when you have sex at the time of ovulation! Ovulation can change from month to month, so you have to be REALLY intune with your body! You could feel cramping on either side, a dull ache in your pelvic area, and a white discharge - this IS ovulation! It happens about a week right after your period! What I have told my friends and other women is have sex as much as possible right after your period! When women put SO much pressure on the timing of sex, it can become VERY stressful and counterproductive! And it becomes a "job" for both of you! So just "Welcome" your husband back home as much as possible - ;-) ! And i guarantee you, he probably wont stay on the road so long next month!!!! ;-) XD XD XD
On the serious side, if you start taking prenatal vitamins, this can not only help the babies health, BUT studies show that it can increase your chances of fertility! I wish you luck and health!

hi all,
I know this may seem redundant but im trying very hard to find answers... I have very irregular periods so missing a month or two or three is not out of the ordinary for me. I always go without any symptoms of pms. In mid October, I had sex and he used a condom every time. I hadnt noticed that my period had not come until a few weeks ago. Now I am experiencing all of the symptoms of pms with no period. My breasts usually get sore and heavy feeling a day or so before I start, now they have been sore for almost two weeks with no period. I am bloated, tired, slightly nauseous at times, hungry, butterflies in my stomach, and lower back pain. I have taken two hpts and they were both negative. I know that it is far fetched to think I could be pregnant since we used protection, but my body has never acted like this before. If anyone has any suggestions, or are going through the same thing, please reply. This whole thing is crazy making...
