I am 43 years old and was diagnosed high blood pressure. My first therapy was atenolol. The problem with high blood pressure is that it doesn’t expose symptoms. I was scared when doctor told me that I have to use drugs every day. It happened two months ago. I am sure that atenolol helps me, but I am depressive and I think that I lost my libido.

Atenolol is beta-blocker, it mechanism is based on effect that make on blood vessels. Your symptoms are connected with lowing of blood pressure. I have to say to you that every antihypertensive causes impotency. Those side effects are usual. Maybe you should ask your doctor to prescribe you a tranquilizer. Or try to do something that makes you feel better. Do the garden, or go shopping.
