well i have bipolar depression and i am currently 29 weeks pregnant. before i was pregnant i took abilify (and seraquil at night, but that was more for sleep problems and to take care of some of the bipolar at night)and it worked but of course when i found out i was pregnant i stopped taking it to try to make it as safe as possible on the baby and i actually was able to handle it well. but in the last few weeks it has just all came back or alot stronger to were i cant deal with it very well almost at all and now i really want to be back on my abilify but i dont know if it would be ok to take while still pregnant and wanting to breast feed after pregnancy. so basiclly my question is... is it ok to take while pregnant and after while breastfeeding???? (oh my dose was 5mg a day if that matters)

That's definitely something you should talk to your doctor about, imo. As a side note, I've read tht magnesium is sometimes helpful for helping keep anxiety and hypomania a bit more bearable, for some people. You can find places online to buy magnesium chloride flakes (make sure they are "USP", which means they are supposed to be lower in other minerals and okay to take orally). You can make foot soaks, body oils, and even a saltwater to drink from the magnesium chloride, USP. Some people say it has less digestive side effects than the other forms of supplemental magnesium. You can also try to get more magnesium in your diet. A nutrient-tracking tool like cronmometer or myfooddata can help, as can consulting a dietician or nutritionist.
