for the past few days i've had black/brown discharge coming from my vagina. i told my mom and she thinks it is my period. i'm scared because i don't know what it is. by the way im 11 and i haven't started my period yet. PLEASE HELP ME!!!

I don't think there's anything to worry about. You are the age to start your period and your body is getting ready for it, so don't worry because even many females get this discharge just before starting the regular period or towards the end of the period. Since you are the beginning and if your mom can afford it, your can talk to your pediatricain or consult over the phone, but I think this happens in many cases, but of course it's upto you to get the professional advice
