I just came accross this and it made me feel so much better to hear that other people have had similar experiences. Today I was sitting in my English class and we were doing our typical warm-up of analyzing a short peice of text. All of a sudden I noticed that there was an excrutiating amount of pain in my kidneys. I thought that it would pass shortly and I tried to tough it out. Then my vision started to blur so it was more of a challenge to see. Whilst struggling with these two things I noticed that my teacher's talking got more and more muffled. I tried to unclog my ears but to no avil. At this point it felt like my whole body had fallen asleep, like I had no feeling in my hands, but I still had control of them. I raised my hand and said that I needed to get some water. Once I stood up and starting wakling I felt a thousand times better. When I got to the water fountain I felt my forehead and found that I had been sweating slightly. I went to the nurse to take my temperature thinking that perhaps I had a fever and I was actually under the average, at 97.1. It just really scared me and I was worried that I was going to faint or start screaming becuase of the pain.

This has happened to me twice. I feel like i'm going to throw up and then everything goes black and i get a ringing noise in my ear and cannot hear anyone. I start to sweat really bad and i become very shaky. The first time it happened was after getting a blood test, so i obviously thought it was from that and it wouldn't happen again. But then it happened one morning when i was in the shower, earlier that morning i had hurt my neck by jumping around and my neck was very sore to move. My brother and his girlfriend were the only ones home but they were in bed asleep. I got out of the shower and wrapped a towel around me and made myself to their bedroom all while i was blacking out. When everything went back to normal i couldn't move my neck at all. Did you end up finding out what was wrong?

I'm 29. This sounds like what happened to me today. It took me a moment to realize my vision was gone, it happened suddenly but I was already tripping out about my hearing fading. My parents had to carry me over to a recliner chair, during the short walk over my hearing came back and it took a few minutes for my vision to come back. Things went from a silhouette to just black and red, to black and purple, then I slowly got more colors back.

Same thing has happened to me. I am a 15 year old girl, and this happened 3 times so far, the latest was just a few minutes ago. I was taking a hot bath (because i had menstrual cramps), and after I drained the water and stood up to turn the shower on. It was cold at first and then i began to feel lightheaded. I lost hearing and vision, then fumbled to turn the water off and sat down in the shower for about 5 minutes until my vision came back. Then I turned the water back on, rinsed and got out while my hearing was still gone. This has happened to me twice before, once about 3 years ago when I was waiting for a lift at a ski place, and once during soccer tryouts right after I pulled a muscle in my knee. Everytime I think im going to die and start panicing, and after its over I feel like crying. Help?
