This sound like what happened to me. I was laying down and I got up to turn on the light and I made it to the light switch but then my vision went, I mean for ten minutes I couldn't see. It was complete black. I was so scaryed. My ears were ringing, I started screaming but I couldn't hear my own voice. I could feel somebody hand on me, later I found it was my boyfriend. I stayed like that for ten minutes then my vision started coming back, at first it looked like everything had a dull cover over them. (The colors) My hearing took longer. After I was exhausted. My boyfriend said my eyes turned a purplish color, and that I was skin was white. It was the first time that has ever happens to me. Just trying to figure it out.

Well, this happened to me today. It was about 10-15 minutes after my shower. I was watching Full House while standing up like I usually do every day. Then all of a sudden it felt like my left leg was broke. Next my vision was so fuzzy. Then I went to the bathroom feeling like I was going to throw up and my hearing got so muffled. Then I went down stairs and got myself some water and I'm better now but it was a scary experience.

This has happened to me 4 times already. Am currently 17 years old and it has happened 4 times within the past four years. but for me it's like my body gives small warning signs first before it happens, my body starts to feel a little wobbly, then it leads into a more dizzy feeling, then I start to sweat up, my vision goes black, and my hearing becomes impaired. It has happened out of the blue as well, but when I went to the doctor about it 2 years ago he said that it wasn't a major problem, but it happened again yesterday. I really don't know what the problem could be but it's so strange when it happens because I think to myself afterwards "Did that really happen?"

Hi my name is Legaci. I am 11year of age. One day I was at kohls, everything perfectly normal for two hours.we get to the register to checkout. I instantly get hot, my eyesight starts to go away. I ask my mom to go outside ,but I couldn't hear what she said. I panicked, and started to cry cause I couldn't see or hear. I thought I would have to go to the hospital.5mins later only a third of my sight came back , I could only see out part of my left eye. So I walked outside. Again after about 2 mins I could now hear again but not see. My mom came outside and just told be to relax. After another 5-7mins might left eyesight was back. So I could then walk to my care, me still frightened just tried to calm and cool down. By the time I got home I was back to full recovery. A few times after that I had the same problem but knew I would be okay.

Im 13 and I was taking a shower when I started to feel nauseous and I couldn't breathe well. I thought it was from the steam so I stepped out of the shower and I started to lose my vision. I started to lose my balance and I unwillingly fell to the floor. I couldn't breathe at all and my breathing was like I just ran a marathon. I couldn't see at all now. So I went to the kitchen and leaned over the sink trying to breathe until my vision slowly came back to me, but I still leaned there until I could breathe well enough. Now I take lots of deep breaths and I'm not going to the doctor unless it happens again.

I have had the same problem, I've been referred to the hospital for it at the moment. They believe it to be a neurological problem, to do with my spine and/or the connection to my brain.
So please DON'T just assume it's low blood sugar.

I've had this happen on and off throughout my life (currently going through an "episode" this week. I've had a neurologist check me, heart monitors, went throufh all the fancy equipment to monitor and look at different parts of the body/brain and still can't figure out what's wrong with me! Its so frustrating because I've had doctors just tell me its all in my head which I know it isn't because who in their right mind wants to randomly go blind for a few minutes and feel dizzy, weak , and sometimes not hear properly while all this is happening! I'm glad but also sad so many other people are going through what I am so I know its at least kind of normal but am worried that I might be the next to not wake up after a black out due to noons being able to figure out what's wrong! Thank you to all the people who have figured out what was wrong through tests for posting your findings on here so I know where I can start looking online and doing my own research to try and figure this thing out! To everyone on here suffering through the same thing, I hope you find your answers soon or things clear up for you and you are able to get better! Whatever's going on sucks and none should have to worry or suffer through it!

I had this happen to me at netball training last night. As soon as I started exercising I immediately started losing my vision and hearing. I felt like I was going to vomit and black out. About an hour and a half later was when my sight and hearing completely vanished. I didn't faint, but I could tell I was very, very close. I was guided to a wall and someone rubbed water on the back of my neck until I could see and hear again, which was about 5 minutes later. I later got told I looked as white as a sheet. I am a 14 year old female who has just finished the last day of her period. I got told by the doctor I am quite Anaemic, and had lost a lot of Iron from my menstrual bleeding. I got a whole lot of tests done at the doctors clinic including blood tests and an ECG. The doctors confirmed I don't have any heart problems, but as the daughter of a type 1 Diabetic, we are waiting for the results from my blood tests to either confirm or deny the possibilities of me having diabetes. This isn't the first time I have fainted, but it is definitely the first time I fainted on a scale of this level. I hope this helps.

I'm a 13/14 year old girl.

well this morning I woke up, got out of bed and everything was fine. I went to the bathroom to do my makeup and as I stood in front of the counter, my vision started to go black, almost in the way a television would fizz out. I instantly felt half of my face and body go cold and I began to sweat which is something I rarely do and ,mind that at this point I cannot see anything, I make my way to my mothers room and I find I can barely walk as my legs begin to wobble and give way, when I find her room and bed, I sit down and realise that she is trying to talk to me but I cannot hear her as there is a loud noise in my ears, almost like running water but intensified and powerful. I felt like I was going to throw up and I could feel my breathing was strange, my heartbeat was fast and I was taking short quick breaths unintentionally. I feel very hot so ignoring my mum as I can't hear her, I wobble to my own room as my vision comes back blurry, and change into colder clothing and as I go to reopen my door, I collapse on my floor and, trying to explain this is difficult, I felt as if I had passed out, no thoughts, I couldn't move, but my eyes were open. I don't remember anything from here on out but apparently my mum came in my room to check on me and saw me lying on the floor and put me in bed, I fell asleep and woke up about 6 hours later (happened at just before 7am and woke up at 12:30am) with the ringing in my ears going down to a slight ringing that you would have after a concert or club, and a migraine, which I get frequently anyway. my mum thinks it's vertigo.
