The same thing happens to me. I was a medical mystery for quit a while. It turns out in my case they r seizures. The only diffrence is that during my 'episodes'case I have trouble talking....I usually only can bring my voice up to a whisper. Mine aren't too often anymore. But in my teenage year they occurred every few months.

That's what most of the people here are describing.

Hi I'm 15 and a female. This happened to me for the first time today during tennis lessons. Everything was blotted with white until all I could see was white. I could barely hear, my whole body went numb, and I was clammy. My mom and sister laughed it off and said its because of me exercising. My dad got really concerned. What should I do? It was one of the scariest experiences I've had.

I am about to turn 18 and yesterday I was laying down eating some frozen yogurt. Than when I got up I starting walking 2 the kitchen, I felt dizzy than everything turned black and i stumbled and fell to the ground shaking. I could talk cause my sister asked if i was ok and I said to back away. I could barley control myself but i managed to grab my legs and go into a cradle position all the while shaking. Finally I could see again after about two minutes but couldn't stand or stop shaking for another 3 minutes. I don't know what to do I have school and stuff I'm afraid its going to happen in my classes or a dance performance. I don't have money nor my family so I cant go to a doctor and I'm afraid to tell my family. Can anyone help me?

My daughter and I have experienced this problem too. I think it is related to panic disorder. When people get nervous they sweat, get a hot flash. I loose my eye sight also. I don't get the nasuea, but my daughter gets that, then dizziness, then her eye site goes, and hearing gets muffled.
Anxiety meds help BIG time. I don't have low blood sugar, never had it in my life. If your alarm clock goes off in the morning and your heart beats real fast...... it's anxiety. Once  on the meds you will see that that won't happen anymore. Most people don't even realize they have anxiety till on the meds and feel so much better.

Are you sure someone didn't just spike your drink with a date rape drug?

This happened to me yesterday. I was in the shower, and I felt like I couldn't breathe. I was gasping. I had a viral infection at the time, so I was all clogged up, so that didn't help I guess. I also didn't eat before my shower, and I was dehydrated. I slammed the shower door open and when I stepped out, everything turned black. My eyes were open and I was fully concious and everything, but all I could see was black. I fumbled for my towel, and then I lost my hearing. I could hear a high pitched "EEEEEEEEE" kind of noise. It was pretty scary. Then I felt my way out of the bathroom, and went to my room to vomit. My vision and hearing came back after I sat down near my trash can. (I think sitting down helped, so the blood could get back to my head). I rushed to the kitchen for water, and quickly turned on my computer and looked up "temporary loss of vision and hearing" because there was no one home with me. I came to this website, and found some possible solutions, thanks to you guys. I've been reading a lot of posts about "low blood sugar" so I immediately drank a few glasses of orange juice and felt better. When my mom came home later on, I told her, and she tested my blood sugar. It was 180 something, and that's very high. I'm thinking because of my viral infection, that my whole body is out of sorts. My mother, a nurse, believes that the blackout had something to do with the viral infection. I hope my sugar is back to normal after I get better..Hopefully I'm not diabetic. I'm 15, and a girl. It seems that this is happening to a lot of girls my age...

My daughter, 20, has started having similar episodes. The doctor has told her they are mini-seizures. She is on medication now, but it doesn't seem to be helping. So I too, am looking for answers. She gets nauseous and then loses track of time for a minute or two. The first time I saw her in this state, I also thought it was low blood sugar since she hadn't eaten all day. But I dismissed that theory when she came through by me calling her name and touching her. Yes, you should see a doctor, blacking out can be dangerous to you and others if you are of driving age.

this happens to me a lot as well! it started when I was around ten or nine (I'm 14 and a girl btw.)
usually it's when I'm hot or dehydrated. one of the first times was at the YMCA when I was eleven or so, and it was hot and really sunny. I started to feel really weak, nauseous, and dizzy. then my vision slowly faded away (little dark purple dots started to block it out until I could hardly see anything). I can barely hear (it feels like there's cotton in my ears), and I turn realllly pale as well. time seems to stop, almost. usually I can feel it coming on, like this gut feeling in my stomach or something haha.
it mostly happens at choir, when I have to wear heavy vestments and I hardly get water. the church is hot as well.
sometimes it happens at school, when we have uniforms that are hot and no air conditioning.
another time it happened on this field trip when we were using these medical tools for endoscopy to burn hot dogs, take sampls, etc.
everyone thought I hated all the surgery and stuff :'D I wasn't hot or dehydrated that day, so I don't know why.
I've had multiple tests, gone to multiple doctors, and no one could fine anything wrong. I do have diabetes in my family, but my blood sugar and stuff is fine. the only other person I know this has happened to is my friend, and her case wasn't as worse, only happened once, and was with yellow dots. (?)
anyway, my eye doctor says it's an eye-migrane but I don't think so because I don't have the same sort of loss of vision.
usually, I get some form of liquid, sit down with my head between my knees, and take off the majority of my clothes :'D icepacks are good too!
this sucks and I feel bad for the rest of you, didn't know it was that common. hope we can find some sort of cure, or at least the name/cause! c:

OK so I have these same symptoms whenever I start to think about blood or needles and stuff.  I start sweating an extreme amount, i get dizzy and black out, complete numbness of the body and i just lay there for abotu 5 minutes.  Could this be low blood pressure or just a phobia of mine?  This has been happening to me ever since I was little, first time I was about 6 in science class watching a video of an intestine video of a pig, so its nothing recent, but is it something I should check?

It happened to me this morning! I was in a rush to catch my bus so I skipped breakfast and ran to the bus stop. After about 5 minutes on the bus (I had to stand, there were no available seats) I started feeling really weak, and my head felt so heavy it started hurting. Then my vision just completely blacked out, and my hearing started fading, it sounded like it was "thumping" too, and I felt like I was sweating all over. The whole thing lasted from 3-5 minutes. The scariest part was when my vision blacked out, I kept blinking and opened my eyes again and still had no vision! Thankfully I wasn't driving, or who knows what could have happened.
I think it's just low blood sugar, or decreased blood flow to the brain.
