I had a baby 11 weeks ago and I was still bleeding sometimes it heavy and sometimes its very light. I was wondering if this was normal or if it could be something more serious that I would go to the doctor for?

Hi hon: Did you deliver vaginally or had a c-section? The reason why I ask is that normally a woman bleeds for 6 weeks after childbirth. BUT sometimes if there has been a bit of the placenta left in it can cause more bleeding or infection. I would like you to see your doctor ASAP - not trying to worry you here - but to have such bleeding still is unusual. And I believe it could be from either placenta or a small vein or artery that needs to be corterized!!! Do you feel run down - other than lack of sleep o.O ! You might need to increase your iron. But I would definitely want you to get checked out 1st, also did you get a vaginal tear?!!! It could be that too - you see there are SO many things it can be. Let me know how things go OK?
