i have been sexually active for 7 months and lately it has been uncomfortable during intercourse and yesterday i started bleeding during intercourse for the first time. I am on birth control and have been told that it can cause my uterus wall to thin but would that cause bleeding and discomfort?

Actually, birth control pills do not actually thin the walls of your uterus. I believe it thins out the endometrial lining inside your uterus. I have had a similar issue with bleeding during intercourse. There's an issue with my cervix where it bleeds easily when I'm on oral contraceptives. You may have a similar issue. Keep an eye on your bleeding, write it down if you have to, and make a visit to your primary care physician or your OB/GYN if it becomes bothersome. Also, it could be breakthrough bleeding in your cycle where you're ovulating. As long as it's fairly light and not too dark, you should be fine. If you can't get the blood to stop and it is extremely dark and you're not on your period, you need to go to the ER ASAP. Hope this helps! :3
