Hi guys..Im happy to hear that Im not the only one going through this, however not so happy that we have to. I have had irregular pap tests before, and now I think Im clear, Ive been to scared to go back becuase I dont want to find out that its not clear again.

Im frustrated and embarrassed, and I dont understand why we have to go through this..I want to know what it is, and how to stop it. Do I (we) have to fear that there is something wrong long term, can it in fact be something in our pap test that isnt comming through....confused!

This started to happen to me 6 months ago. When I have sex I bleed - sometimes heavily enough to need to use tampons for a couple of days afterwards. Went to the doctor (a GP - I live in the UK). I had a smear test and by the end of the year found I had mild dyskariosis. (It takes weeks for the result to come back, then weeks for the colposcopy appointment, then weeks for the result from that.)
I was eventually refered to a gynaecologist for the bleeding. He says the dyskariosis and bleeding are two separate things. He told me irregular bleeding could only be hormonal (though no tests were done to confirm this) and he's offered me either microwave ablation - not an option as i'd like to have kids. Or, the minerva coil, which he says will stop all bleeding, including my periods.
I'm really frustrated with the medical response. Surely what's happening has a cause? I'm very lucky that my partner is understanding and supportive - but think the doctors are not even listening.

I have been bleeding occassionally during sex as well. In fact I did tonight. No sign of a period, no sign of pain during intercourse. In fact it looked almost like real blood not period blood. I am calling my doctor tomorrow bc I do have cell changes occuring on my cervix and I am wondering if that has anything to do with it. Also I am on the depo shot and to make sure there is no breakthrough bleeding the doctor has me taking the pill as well until my second shot. Anyone bleeding during sex needs to see a doctor. Perhaps a gyno not a normal doctor you go to for everything. Be persistent. I find it weird that I bleed during sex but I dont pee blood, but I wipe.....any thoughts as to why??

Hello Ladies - please take a look at this website if you are worried and coming up with no answers. I read thru all the posts and spotted the one that talked about a gyno stating that the patient had Cervical Ectropion. I looked it up, and this website explained it, and laid my fears to rest. I am still going to go get a pap smear, but this Cervical Ectropion issue makes sense to me. And thank goodness, even if we face the embarassment of this problem, at least it is not life threatening! Whew! I was real nervous about cancer too. : :(

i've been experiencing the same problems & im scared to talk to anyone about it. cause i dont want the worst to come out of it.
for a the past couple of weeks i've been experiencing bleeding during intercourse, but its not all the time. it seems to happen on a perticually sexual position that me & boyfriend do. could it be that?

I too have recently been experiencing spotting during sexual intercourse with my new partner. It is brownish red in color. However, after intercourse, it stops completely. I've been to my gyno and he said everything's ok with me but I continue to spot nonetheless. There is no pain during intercourse, no odors, regular periods, I'm not on the pill - absolutely nothing. I am at a total los as to what is going on with me.

well im plenty wet an have foreplay an sex an after notice blood on his hands i go clean up an there is just a hint of pink but no more bleeding shouldnt start for another week.. theres was no ripping or anything but have had abnormal paps that show precancer cells. any ideas what may be going on?

im 17 and the guy i lost my virinity to just came back into my life, mind you i lost it like 4 years ago and have had sexual partners since. we just had sex today and i bleed like a lot. and im still bleeding. it was so embarassing and scary. idk wat could cause it. could it be his penis size? i dont know wat to do. im going to see my doctor but im actually afraid too. wat if its bad? i just dont know.

just wondering if you still have this problem... if you figured out why it is happening i have the same problem.. bleeding during orgasm... LOTS... but after sex its gone???? SOOO CONFUSED... ruins all sex for me cuz im scared to disgust my man .. and we got pregnant about 6 months ago and i bled during the pregnancy when orgasming too... ended up loosing the baby and now...we're trying to get pregnant again since and havnt been able to... i dont kno if this is the reason... and i have no idea how to calculate my ovulation.. sometimes even missing periods... making me excited for no reason :( I NEED AN ANSWER!!

I am in the same boat as all of you. Bleeding during/after sex. Annoying. Totally drives away that wonderful sexy feeling. Anyways, after 3 years or more of investigating why this is happening, being told by the doctor that all my tests are "normal" and wondering if I was completely insane and it was all in my head, I finally found a gyno who took action. I had an internal biopsy at the hospital and was told I have chronic endometritis - inflammation of the uterus lining. I'm not crazy after all. He specified that inflammation is NOT the same thing as infection - which would explain why all my test results previous to the biopsy came back "normal". We are currently experimenting to see what alleviates the symptoms, but I could potentially be on anti inflammatory pills for quite a while. We're also experimenting with different hormone pills. So if you're having bleeding issues it's worth keeping endometritis in mind, it's not always a hideous STD causing the problems. One of the other symptoms I have is I have quite a lot of "mucus" discharge, but this is my body trying to heal itself apparently. So find a good gyno to help you discover what's causing your issues.

i have been having a similar problem i bled for 2 days during sex then a week latter i didnt but everytime after that i was bleeding and now it is slowly stopping i am also on the pill so that may be the case

hey recently i have bleed twice during intercourse. the first time it was spotting and just not to long ago i bleed alot is that normal!?
i dont think its normal and i saw my boyfriend the next day and his jeans our dirty i was like why are your jeans like that!?.. he said
he didnt know he called me during his break to tell me that what i saw in his jean was blood so what do you think is we are freaked out over the situation!
