Hi I was born without too. I had implants at 13 then upgrade lol at 18 which were a lot better than first set. I had to have corrective surgery last year as one had moved too high into my groin. I lived a reasonable life. I was born with a twin sister and our chromosomes got all mixed up (never been reported in humans before) your son will be fine. HRT does work wonders. If you need some ones advice who lived through it then by all means get in touch

Hi. I am 54 years old. I was born without testicles. I had 3 exploratory surgeries by age 5. They never developed. I started hormone therapy at age 13 and have had monthly injections ever since. I had prosthetics implanted at age 16. It has been a rollercoaster of a ride. Hormones wax and wane pretty quickly, and if you miss injections, you will suffer symptoms of menopause. I have learned to get through the bouts of depression, the physical side effects of hormone therapy, and the occasional feelings of total asexuality and feeling neither female or male. It is not a common defect, but there is help available. See an endocrinologist and get started. Get a Therapist as well. It is a huge help.

i know we cant help how we are born , but at the age of 20 when i married my second husband, he didnt think in was important to tell me he was born without testicals, it was brought into the conversation when we were out one evening , by my husbands brother [he thought i had been told before we married] until then i believed we would go on to have a family, the situation lead to our divorce, given the chioce would i have married him, i will never know as i was deprived of that choice, what ever your health problems, your partener needs to know so a choice can be made

Well, it is a definition that people use wrongly;"born without testis", which is impossible, if it is a boy. Instead, the testis are there during the critical periods of the 9 months, but not large enough and not in the correct position. If there were no testis, it would from a chromosome test be a girl, which it is not, hence the testis were there but got assimilated by the body.

Secondly, you are worrying too much. Your kid will get injections all his life to reach normal levels, hell...his levels will be more life lasting and stable at high levels. All your concerns are nothing to worry about. He will live a normal life except he can't become a father but there are solutions for that too...adoption, insemination from a bank, IVF etc.

Trust me...I am just as your son the living evidence, now 41 yo.

well, seing him naked you would have seen some missing testis before marriage. Divorcing for that reason simply shows absence of love. You both could have taken other measures/steps to get a kid together.

You just wanted a man without defects -and your husband was embarrased to tell you. But you should have seen it and confronted him earlier if you loved him.

My testis got assimilated by the body just after birth and I got the same roller coaster of life as you.
Now I am over 40 years old and I know my testosterone levels will never decrease thanks to Nebido, but all my friends get lower levels -1%/year after age of 30, 30% reduced levels every week after a rough night at the bar etc so I feel more superior than them, with a muscular body also at higher ages where my mates are saggy and weak;)

I lost a testicle from mumps at 8. It really troubled me. At 22 I elected to have a fake put in. It really made a difference in my self esteem. It was an easy procedure. If you are embarrassed, go see a urologist. I would definitely do it again.
