Lets say you have a full beard, then you lose both testicles. will your facial hair start to fall out because lack of testosterone? or say you have no testicles and want to grow a facial hair possible?

ok well i cant answer that question 100% but i know that if you loose both your testicles BEFORE puberty then you will not develope and grow facial hair without the aid of testosterone supplements however, if you have a beard already and then loose your testicles the beard will not fall out. the only thing i dont know is if you go through puberty and then loose both your testicles. i want to say that the beard and stuff will continue to grow but i cant say for sure you may need to get supplements even after you go through puberty.

if you dont mind me asking are you asking this because you lost yours or is it just a curiosity question?

thanks hope this helps

So you think that if you lose your testicles after puberty you might not need testosterone shots if you wish to grow a beard?

well Red,

im not sure it depends what regulates the beard growth. if testosterone does then yea you would need supplements such as testosterone injections to make it continue to grow. i think that transgendered men who go in estrogen/progesterone i think they stop growing beards but im not 100% sure.

its a good question....

When I was 16 I had a hydro-seal, which is when a layer of liquid forms around your testicle, mine was just one. But it was corrected with surgery at the same time I had my 1st hernia repair. I have had 5 hernias but when the first couple were done was before they were using mesh to re-enforce the area. When I had my forth the Dr. said if scar tissue built up from repeated surgeries it could cause loss of blood flow with a possible loss of a testicle. It turned out to be okay, but he had me worried until after the surgery. I have heard of guys with a third smaller testicle, but not sure if that is possible.

At risk of losing both of mine from accident, so I asked my Dr. about this too. He said the body hair and beard growth would slow down and I'd have less body and beard hair without balls than I had before and with my balls, unless I took artificial testosterone the rest of my life if I lost both balls. I wouldn't lose all of my beard and body hair but would lose some of it if I didn't take the T to replace the T from my missing balls. Dr. said for me to look at really old men with almost no testosterone to see what I'd lose and be left with for beard and body hair with no balls.
